This is just a piece of what vulnerability is. When I saw this quote, it moved me. I didn’t know who #brenébrown was, but I wanted to find out. If you want to feel the earth move, feel your soul inspired then her TED talk/Netflix special is a must see!!!!!

What is vulnerability? I never really thought about it too in depth, lol, but I know one thing, I spend my life in the midst of it!!! We all do:) To me it is opening yourself up to emotions your afraid to feel, courage to face the unknown, showing up even when it hurts, loving with uncertainty, basically opening up yourself to live in the moment without a definite outcome of happiness or sadness.

At the end of my life, I want to be able to say I have few regrets and the only way I can achieve this is to be vulnerable. Vulnerability is strength! By doing so, we take risks.

One of my biggest fears is failure and I am definitely not alone! Many times that fear limits how far I’m willing to extend myself. That fear limits how much I’m willing to invest into my dreams. It limits me because I always know what my safest choice is. What I don’t know is if I persist beyond the safest choice whether I will succeed or whether I will fail. What became clear to me listening to Brené Brown is that failure is necessary and will happen, so I must put on my big girl panties and go after my goals and dreams. Not only strive for our goals but try and do things even though we know the chance of success is low. Having the courage to accept a task when you know the world is watching and you may not achieve the perceived standard of success, well that is bravery!

Is there something you have said to yourself, “I wish I did……”, if so have faith in yourself, take a leap, and step out of your comfort zone and make your wish a reality!!!!!!

Creating this IG/Blog has tested my vulnerability! At the end of the day if I have inspired one person or given hope then it is worth it!!!
